Program Highlights
- Complete NYS-Approved Curriculum: 540 hours of state-mandated barbering training.
- Hands-On Training: Haircutting, fading techniques, clipper-over-comb, straight razor shaves, facial massage, and textured hair styling.
- Sanitation & Safety: State-required infection control and OSHA compliance.
- Career Preparation: Graduate ready for the New York State Master Barber licensing exam.
Program Schedule & Duration
Full-Time (30 hrs/week): Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00am–3:30pm
- Approximately 4.5 months to complete

Enrollment Process
- Attend our Open House
- Take assessment (required for non-high school graduates)
- Schedule an Interview (Mondays)
- Submit required documents & payment
Required Acceptance Documents
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- High School Diploma (HSD), GED, or current high school transcript/report card
- If no HSD or GED, WBA will administer an Ability to Benefit (ATB) exam
- Foreign HSD must include notarized translation and original copy
- If no HSD or GED, WBA will administer an Ability to Benefit (ATB) exam
- Must be at least 17 years old at graduation
- Proof of Address
- Photo Identification
- Completed Application
- $1,000 Down Payment + $100 Registration Fee
- Cosmetology License (if applicable)
