In July of 2019, Westchester Barber Academy has opened its doors to its first class of students looking to build a career in the barber profession. What started as a simple apprenticeship program has evolved into a full fledged, tuition-based school for those wishing to develop a fulfilling, skill-based barbering career. |
Barber School
Our full-time Master Barber course consists of 540 hours. The cost of our Master Barber program is $5,000.00 (student tools, textbook, ebook & licensing fees included), which can be paid in total or via payment plan with $1,100.00 down and:
There are full-time or part-time options with rolling admission to choose from:
- $229.41 per week for 17 weeks (Full-time)
- $188.00 per week for 26 weeks (Part-time)
There are full-time or part-time options with rolling admission to choose from:
- Full-Time (30 hrs per week): 9:00am to 3:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday. This program takes approximately 4.5 months to complete
- Part-Time (22 hrs per week): 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday through Friday. Saturday classes are 9:00am to 3:30pm. This program takes approximately 6.5 months to complete

- Must be 17 years of age at the time of graduation

Because of 190 hours of overlapping curriculum with the full 540-hour program, licensed cosmetologists complete an abbreviated, focused course that teaches the essential barbering skills required for the New York State Master Barber license.
